SweetiePie is Anna Perkins. Originally from Tupelo, Anna moved to New York City in 2009 to pursue a culinary degree at the Natural Gourmet Institute. Since then she has been interested in good health through good food. All her ingredients are chosen under the care of certain standards: they must be USA grown, organic, and local whenever possible. The sweeteners and fats she uses are natural and unrefined; and the menu changes with the seasons, allowing for vegetables and fruit to be purchased when ripe. Most of her pies can be made gluten-free and vegan options are available for both pies and breads.
Through her own journey with food, Anna has discovered the beauty of both eating seasonally and buying locally. She has also learned of the many limiting dietary restrictions due to allergies and disease. Her overall desire with SweetiePie is to share these discoveries with the Tupelo community by creating a variety of healthy edible options that not only taste good, but feel good to eat.
